one more question: can we install the new sensor directly or do we have to calibrate it again?

avatar
Olivier Michaud Oct 07, 2022, 5:14 pm

It is preferable to do the calibration because it depends on the probe and the device.

the simpool manual says to use a ph7.3 standard. do

Does that exist?

avatar
Olivier Michaud Oct 07, 2022, 5:18 pm

No, 7.3 is the set value. for the calibration of the simpool you need pH7 and pH4: https://ph-redox-pool.com/gb/pool-buffer-calibration-solution/1640-ph4-ph7-calibration-kit.html

It's still an old model of simpool, not digital, and the manual adjustment with button ranges from 6.5 to 8.0

Have you done the calibration yet?

avatar
Oct 07, 2022, 5:25 pm

Never, because I just bought the house

and I see that the consumption of PH- is quite high

avatar
Olivier Michaud Oct 07, 2022, 5:27 pm

Yes, it also needs to be calibrated. The knob is for setting the set value
