First of all, a feedback on the PH probe for Aquarite Pro that I have just received and installed. She is perfect.

Great

The wire is just a little long. No way to reduce it I imagine?

avatar
Olivier Michaud May 07, 2022, 4:16 pm

It needs to be rolled up! that's all

avatar
May 07, 2022, 4:17 pm

OK, no worries. Otherwise I received a small gray part (3d printing?). What is it for?

avatar
Olivier Michaud May 07, 2022, 4:19 pm

It is used on another type of regulator sometimes

OK, agreed.

Otherwise I have a doubt about my current ORP sensor (of Hayward origin). I have ordered a 650v calibration product from you. With the solution, the Aquarite Pro device shows 595 (it should be 640).
There is no way to calibrate ORP on aquarite. Do you think that the Hayward probe should be changed or is it just necessary to consider an offset?

Finally second question, concerning the ORP probe that you sell, as the Aquarite does not allow calibration, will it be right the first time if I buy it?

I will re-read the manual and send you an e-mail. Because I am surprised that it is not possible to calibrate. But the difference of 45 mV is not significant I think your probe is OK

Ok very gladly. My email is if ever.

See also for the second question suddenly.

avatar
Olivier Michaud May 07, 2022, 4:24 pm

Ok, I'm looking at this. And without calibration difficult to promise that this seta better!

avatar
May 07, 2022, 4:25 pm

OK, agreed. Should an offset be applied to find the correct value and compensate for the lack of calibration?

avatar
Olivier Michaud May 07, 2022, 4:26 pm

Most likely . The idea to do displays the value in mV of the standard solution by the aquarite (which amounts to doing a calibration!)

avatar
May 07, 2022, 4:27 pm

What do you mean by: the aquarite displays 595 when the probe is dipped in the solution.

avatar
May 07, 2022, 4:28 pm

At 20°c I should have 640.

avatar
Olivier Michaud May 07, 2022, 4:30 pm

Yes ! the redox measurement is not a very precise measurement, nor very stable!

avatar
May 07, 2022, 4:30 pm

My aquarite normally has a set point of 680. To see if I should put the set point at 725 at once. I don't know if the ORP measurement is linear or not.

avatar
Olivier Michaud May 07, 2022, 4:31 pm

Fairly linear in the 500 -900 mV range
