Hello, I ordered a pH probe for EZ-Chem PH-1-3-0312 on 08/19/2021, and I have noticed for a few days that it no longer works. I recalibrated it but nothing changed. Can you take it under warranty?

can you do this little test to make sure it's the probe: https://ph-redox-pool.com/gb/content/16-ma-sonde-ph-est-elle-hors-service-

Apparently the sensor is working fine. I think my water is too basic. Il regulator indicates AlrBand, so I have to add a lot of PH minus. I will come back to you if the problem really persists. Thank you

Yes, do not hesitate! because it sometimes also happens that the probes are faulty. Do you have a standard solution?

avatar
Olivier Michaud Tue 06, 2022, 4:10 pm

If yes, dip the probe in it and see if the pH value displayed is close

Yes, but I'm coming to the end. I also wanted to tell you that the level of my probe: Quality PH7 = 100%, Quality PH4 = 75%. Is this normal after 6 months of use?

The level is not quality does not mean much. I've been making probes for years and we don't use this parameter because it's not stable. If the measurement seems to be working, rotate it and then to us if there's a new problem. I think it should work.

I hadn't read the second part of your answer. The PH probe is stuck at 7.0 when I immerse it in the standard solution. So it works well.

And you have the test with water and vinegar?

avatar
Tue 06, 2022, 6:47 pm

Sorry for my late answer. No I did not do the test because I realized that the Probe was not connected to the correct socket on the regulator. I had trouble reconnecting it at the end of last season. What a mistake !

However, I have another problem. The water analysis with strip indicates a very high Ph while my Ph regulator invites me to add Ph+ (Alkaline). I do not understand.

avatar

I did 2 analyzes with strips from 2 different boxes.

Do the test with water and vinegar and give the values .and if you have a solution. Standard dip the probe in it and read the value. With this we will know if the measurement is correct

I followed your advice and I have no value that appears when I do the test with water and vinegar. I wanted to calibrate but without success, the regulator tells me ERROR with the 60s in the PH 7 solution. Does this mean that the probe is dead?

I'll look up your regulator model tomorrow and get back to you. Is that okay?
