Replacing Your Simpool PH Probe: When and Why to Opt for Manufacturer-Specific Models

Client:
Hi, I've a Simpool PH unit. The unit shows the probe quality is now 25% (last year 50%). Should I exchange it now or can I wait?
If I exchange, can I use any PH probe of the same length, width and having a cable with BNC. Or should I use a specific one?

Technical Advisor:
Hi, it's recommended to change the probe when the quality drops below 30%. You can still use it, but the accuracy might be affected.
Regarding the replacement, it's best to use the specific one recommended by the manufacturer. Although any PH probe of the same dimensions and with a BNC cable might technically work, using the specific one ensures optimal performance and compatibility.
